Join Technologists for Democracy as we watch Dylan Reibling’s THE END OF THE INTERNET at the Revue Cinema! From Cold War military roots to Big Tech dominance, a journey through Berlin squats, Catalan churches, and Brazilian villages reveals movements fighting to decentralize the network beyond "the cloud.” Before each screening, audiences are invited to join a secret server hidden inside the cinema — a private, offline network, completely disconnected from the internet. Inside, a parallel version of the film unfolds: raw footage, deleted scenes, research fragments, rough notes, live chat rooms, and hidden easter eggs — materials that exist nowhere else. This ephemeral installation opens 30 minutes before the screening and disappears at the end of the night. We’ll be meeting up at a the Bandit Brewery (2125 Dundas St W, Toronto ON M6R 1X1) after for casual drinks and conversation after the film and Q&A with director Dylan Reibling.
