Plug started because there are exactly three good cafés in my old neighborhood and I couldn’t remember which one had the bench seat with the outlet on a Tuesday.

Stars are useless for working. A 4.8 might mean great espresso and a 1-bar wifi handshake. So we ditched them. Every spot gets rated across eight things that matter when you’re trying to get something done: wifi, vibe, outlets, seat, cost, space, bathroom, and whether you can take a call.
