Santiago Calatrava designed the Brookfield Place atrium to satisfy a public art requirement. What he built became one of the most photographed interiors in all of Canada. The idea behind this space was first tested as a school roof in a small Swiss town, and nobody knew what it would become. Most people walk through the Allen Lambert Galleria without stopping... but during Toronto Tech Week, we're stopping. CareerJoy is bringing together 12 operators, builders, and leaders for a designed morning experience anchored by one question: What are you at the early version of? We'll gather in the atrium, walk the space together, and move to The Brick Room, one of the Toronto's finest small cafés, directly below, for conversation. No panels. No decks. No pitches. Just a remarkable space, a question worth sitting with, and people worth thinking alongside. Attendance by application. Capacity: 12. Hosted by Jordan Mandel, Practice Lead at CareerJoy, who spent seven years at Shopify designing and building what makes people actually connect at work. Toronto Tech Week is a citywide celebration of the people building what’s next. From May 25–29, 2026, founders, investors, and builders come together for hundreds of community-led events across Toronto, connecting tens of thousands of people around Canadian tech.
