Toronto Tech Week is a citywide celebration of the people building what’s next. From May 26–29, 2026, founders, investors, and builders come together for hundreds of community-led events across Toronto, connecting tens of thousands of people around Canadian tech. Torontotechweek.com. A lot of people are starting to “vibe code” with AI tools, but most don’t really know how to use them effectively. This session is designed to change that. We want to walk through how to actually use Claude and Claude Code to build something real, with better structure, better workflows, and fewer mistakes. 📍 What we’ll cover (First Hour) We’ll go through how to actually use Claude and Claude Code to build things more effectively, including prompting, structuring problems, and common pitfalls to avoid. 🛠️ Build Session (Second Hour) In the second half, you’ll start building a small project. You can follow along with a simple example, or work on your own idea. We’ll be around to help, debug, and give suggestions as you go. 👥 Who this is for Students exploring AI / tech People who have tried ChatGPT / Claude but want to go deeper Anyone curious about building small AI-powered tools 🎯 What you’ll get A clearer mental model of how to use AI tools effectively Better prompting and workflow habits A small project or prototype you can build on ⚠️ Requirements (Important) To get the most out of the workshop, we recommend having access to Claude Pro before attending. Claude Pro costs ~$20/month It gives you access to more powerful models and higher usage limits, which we’ll be using during the session We’ll also have a limited number of promo codes for a 1-week free trial, available on a first come, first served basis. 🎉 Past Vibe Coding Event Photos!
